"Clearly, bondholders would like to see some debt reduction to compensate for the significant loss of (cash flow)," said Dave Novosel, senior investment-grade analyst with Gimme Credit, an independent research service focusing on corporate bonds. "While the ultimate effect on leverage is uncertain, Avnet will lose some diversification and scale," Novosel wrote in a note after the announcement.
