Susan Gitenstein Assadi

Susan Gitenstein co-found her firm, Gitenstein & Assadi PR, in 1992. The firm focuses on communication services with an emphasis on financial services, on expert and thought leadership campaigns. In 2019 she relocated her firm to Brooklyn, NY.  She is a highly respected national media strategist. Susan skillfully identifies her clients’ ability to be promoted to the national media and she effectively communicates their mission by weaving compelling stories that resonate with the top national and global media outlets. Her campaigns catalyze her clients into leaders of their respective fields.

Susan has over four decades of extensive experience representing non-profits, leading public companies and subject matter experts. Her firm’s campaigns are fresh, creative, tech savvy, and innovative, a cocktail that engenders powerful results.

Susan was active in the business community where Gitenstein & Assadi PR was based until January 2019. In 2019 she was named to the Advisory Board for the Global Chamber Phoenix. Now she is helping the Global Chamber build out its New York chapter. Susan was formerly the chair of the Program Committee for the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR), an offshoot of the Council of Foreign Relations,  and served as a board member of this organization. 

Prior to founding her firm, Susan was the publicist for PBS MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, New York, NY. For three years she managed promotion for this prestigious PBS program’s that featured anchors: Robin MacNeil, Jim Lehrer, Judy Woodruff, Roger Mudd and Charlayne Hunter-Gault. Before this, she was a publicist for CBS Entertainment, New York, NY, new primetime programming, for a period of three years. She also worked as a publicist for some well-known firms such as Hill and Knowlton and Foote, Cone & Belding.

Susan received a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from New York University, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
